The assassination missions against the bulk transports are pretty cool, and I've done a few Xenon invasion/fleet defenses, but they are few and far between. I typically leave the ore mine alone, but I use the silicon mine to fill up a jump freighter and go cherrypick deals out from under the AI. I set the selling price 1cr less than average, and it helps that my Ore mine is in a sector with 3-4 stations that use ore, and the sil mine has a tube fab and a satellite factory in the same sector. I'm not 100% sure, but I am fairly certain people have bought from my Ore and Sil mines. I've got an Ore Mine, a Silicon, and just started a Wheat Farm/Space Fuel complex.
